VINCENT CERICOLA (Co-Creator/ Writer/ Education Consultant)
Vincent's passion for science has very deep roots.  Growing up on Long Island, he spent many of his days wandering the wilderness and basking in its beauty. This helped to develop a strong passion and concern for the natural world which we frequently take for granted. He entered college majoring in Biology, but eventually decided to pursue a career in education after becoming so fascinated with the effect his professors had on his students.  Their wisdom and ability to captivate the class and have students live vicariously through the telling of their own experiences had such a lasting and inspirational effect.  It seemed so noble to be able to have the ability to enrich the minds of others in such a manner.  What an honor it would be to someday have that same effect on others.  After a change in major, he became a science teacher and now shares his love of science with today's youth and tomorrow's future. It is terribly rewarding to watch the growing body of former students who seem to have been encouraged and enlightened to the natural world and continue to pursue an education in that field.  For example, a former student now assists in a summer marine science program, and another helps with Marine Mammal Rehabilitation at a local facility.
